Decorative cutting & sealing of fabric edges

The BelSonic SeamStar machine is widely used for simultaneous ultrasonic cutting & sealing of lingerie products such as bra’s and slips.
No further stitching is used in the making-up of these products.
A cutting wheel with a decorative pattern is used to cut & seal the fabric edges of the product, thus providing a smooth and skin friendly finish that will prevent further fraying of the product during the many washing cycles of its lifetime.

A wide variety of pattern wheels already have been realised and are illustrated in our pattern wheel catalogue. New shapes and patterns can be custommade.

Cutting & sealing of shoulder straps

The BelSonic SeamStar machines are used for decorative cutting and sealing of shoulder straps of women’s bra’s.
A pattern wheel made to a specific width will cut & seal simultaneously both sides of the shoulder strap.
The same decorative design can be used for the edge cutting of the bras and the slips that go with the shoulder straps.

Edge banding

The BelSonic SeamStar machine equipped with special guiding devices is used to weld an elastic around the fabric edge of a slip or bra und thus ensuring a beautifull and perfect bond.

Hemming with adhesive films

The BelSonic hot air machines are used for seamless hemming of slips, bra’s and stockings.
With one machine an adhesive film is applied to the fabric edge, while a cutting knife assures a perfectly straight edge.

With another machine the fabric is then folded over and the adhesive film is activated in-between the two fabric layers to ensure a perfect bond.

Stockings

Welding of stay-up stockings & panties

The BelSonic Around-The-Arm machine equipped with a special tensioning device is used to weld the top part of a stay-up stocking to the bottom part.

Workwear

The BelSonic SeamStar machines are used to replace traditional stitching machines in the making up of disposal and reusable work wear such as :

- protective work wear

- body armour vests

- medical work wear

- polyurethane coated jackets

- nonwoven work wear

Stitch holes and glue gaps are completely eliminated, decreasing the risk of exposing for example bullet-proof materials – like Spectra-Shield® and Kevlar® – to moisture, which compromises their life-saving effectiveness.

Bedlinnen

The BelSonic ultrasonic component systems are integrated in production lines for disposable bed sheets, pillow cases and quilt covers.
The ultrasonic component system will weld a  wide seam, e.g. of 5 mm,  and cut & seal the fabric next to the seam thus providing a tight and resistant bond.

Operation theatre gowns & drapes

The BelSonic SeamStar machines are used for the ultrasonic cutting & sealing of  OT gowns. The continuous production of sleeves with speeds up to 30 m/min can be organised.

Face masks

The BelSonic technology is used for the manual or automated production of disposable face masks.
Complete production lines or ultrasonic presses can be used for the making up of different types of face masks.

Mattress/cushion protection

The BelSonic SeamStar machine is used with a special pattern wheel to weld PU coated fabrics face to face and thus providing a perfect watertight bond for production of medical matresses, pillows and other related products.

Carpets

Entrance & door matting

The BelSonic ultrasonic component systems are integrated in automated production lines for the cutting to length of entrance and  doormats. The carpet edges are simultaneously cut & sealed and thus the  mats do not need any further pre-coating before being embedded in  a pvc backing.

Primary carpet backing

A BelSonic ultrasonic component system is integrated in a  up to 6 meter wide splicing machine to ultrasonically cut & seal primary carpet backing rolls.
With a splice width reduced to its bare minimum the backing fabric can be used without further interruption in the tufting machines.

Ribbons

Decorative & gift wrap ribbons

The BelSonic SeamStar machines are used for  a manual or automated production of decorative ribbons.
A decorative pattern wheel will cut, seal and emboss the most beautiful and ornamental designs on polyester satin or other synthetic ribbons.

Insulation blankets for airplanes

The BelSonic SeamStar machine is used for cutting & sealing of plastic films used for the manufacturing of insulating blankets for the aerospace industry.
These blankets are installed between the cabin and the skin of the aircraft, keeping the cabin temperature stable while the temperature outside dips to -60°C.

Agro textiles and horticultural textiles

The BelSonic ultrasonic component systems are integrated into production lines for the assembly of drainage mats, green roofs, erosion protection mats and other related products.
The inner multi-dimensional core is continuously welded to the outside nonwoven layer.

Oil absorbent products

The BelSonic  acoustic systems are used for the lamination of oil only pads & rolls.
An outside  spun bond fabric is laminated to an inside  melt blown fabric.
